9th June 2004 / Closer / F-Stop / Interviews / Nightjar / The Long Haul
I’m currently working on the Big Avatar Thing I mentioned toward the end of last year, which will keep me occupied for a few months at least, and I’m also moving house (again, but hopefully for the last time) in the next few weeks, which means my Net access will be limited. So here’s a quick round-up:
NIGHTJAR #2 will be out next week. Due to the delay in producing this one, it looks like the HOLLOW BONES one-shot will actually then come out between #2 and #3, so as to be published in time for the summer US convention season.
CLOSER should also be out next week – my editor saw final press proofs yesterday, so the presses should be rolling as I write this. He said it looked great, which is a relief. Hope the horror buffs among you like it.
YUGGOTH CREATURES appears to be catching the interest of quite a few HPL fans, even those not overly familiar with comics, which is nice. I’ve just completed an interview with online comics zine CBEM about the book, too.
Speaking of interviews, there’s a reasonably large article about me appearing in next month’s VAMPIRELLA MAGAZINE, focusing mainly (and not surprisingly) on my horror work. I think it’s the largest print interview I’ve ever done, so keep an eye out for it.
Besides the Big Avatar Thing, work continues apace on THE LONG HAUL and F-STOP, and the shape of Book II of SPOOKED is finally starting to coalesce in my head. I’m also working up a couple of new ideas which have got me quite excited – one of them is shaped around a story I’ve wanted to write in some form or another for about the last fifteen years…
