27th January 2005 / Anthologies / Interviews
I took part in this week’s edition of BIG POND, Neil Kleid’s column for Scryptic Studios, in which he talks about maintaining the discipline to write. Which, believe me, is the single hardest part of this career choice. Brian Wood also contributes his thoughts, and the result is quite an interesting piece.
In other news, I learnt today that the Image anthology FOUR LETTER WORLDS is going to be late. It’s now scheduled for early March. I have no idea what caused this delay, and it leaves me in the rather annoying position of not having anything at all on the stands this month, but I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait.
28th October 2004 / Anthologies / Pre-order
FOUR LETTER WORLDS is solicited in PREVIEWS this month. Mike Hawthorne and I contributed a story to the ‘Fate’ section, but don’t let that put you off ordering it. It’s on p139, in the Image Comics section; 144 pages for $12.95. The order code is NOV041533.
30th September 2004 / Anthologies / Links / Pre-order
More FOUR LETTER WORLDS news: Eric Stephenson has posted Steven Griffin’s lovely cover design, and the full details of the book (including ordering details) on his website. It’ll be solicited in next month’s PREVIEWS, due out January 2005, so I’ll repeat the solicitation info here closer to the time.
2nd September 2004 / Anthologies / Three Days In Europe
Seeing as a few people have asked me about this, and I don’t think I’ve explicitly mentioned it yet: Eric Stephenson of Image Comics recently let the cat out of the bag regarding FOUR LETTER WORLDS, to be published in January 2005, and to which I contributed a story.
My story’s called AN APPOINTMENT WITH FATE, and sees me back in the saddle, if you’ll pardon the expression, with THREE DAYS IN EUROPE artist Mike Hawthorne. Nice.
18th April 2004 / Anthologies / Interviews
And a few days later, Newsarama have decided to run another story about that NOBLE CAUSES book, this time with commentary from the “other” contributors, like myself.
14th April 2004 / Anthologies / Pre-order
I was wondering when this would finally break… Over on Newsarama, there’s an interview with Jay Faerber about NOBLE CAUSES: EXTENDED FAMILY Vol 2, for which I was asked to write a story. I did a piece called SWEEPS WEEK, a (hopefully) funny piece that asks, “What if NOBLE CAUSES was a TV soap?” It’s beautifully illustrated by CLOSER artist Mike Norton, and the book comes out in June.
